MaRCCI – Corteva Plant Science Symposium 2019

The maiden edition of the 2019 MaRCCI – Corteva Plant Science Symposium to be hosted in Makerere University, Uganda is organized by graduate students of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, Makerere Regional Center for Crop Improvement (MaRCCI) with the support from Corteva, MaRCCI and National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO).

This Plant Science symposium is part of The Corteva Agri-science Plant Sciences Symposia series. It is the first time to be hosted in Uganda and is entitled: “Sustainable Agricultural Development: from the lab to the farmers” and slated for Wednesday, 17 July 2019 at 0800 to 1700 EAT at College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) Conference Hall, Makerere University.

The symposium will serve to provide members of academia and industry with opportunities to engage and share research on current agricultural issue and advances in technology within the many disciplines of Agricultural Research and Development. Moreover, provides an opportunity for the next generation of scientists to interact with both public and private experts through student-driven and organized events at different academic institutions worldwide.
